New training programme from Universal

Universal Studios Orlando has introduced its new Universal and U agent training programme.
The 90-minute training is aimed to help agents create a memorable holiday and increase sales.
Agents can learn from fun, video-led content, gain access to marketing materials and be supported by a live chat element. Upon completion, agents will benefit from concessions including up to four explorer tickets at a 50% discount and no blackout date.
Product updates which agents can learn about on the programme include Universal Studio Resorts' first budget hotel, Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suite, which opens for summer 2019.
Featuring two-bedroom suites that sleep up to six, Surfside Inn and Suites will be Universal’s most affordable accommodation yet. Guests can enjoy early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and Universal's Volcano Bay™ along with complimentary transportation to and from Universal's CityWalk.
The three-star hotel has a lakefront location with a ‘relaxed and fun surf vibe’ woven throughout. The hotel aims to provide an affordable base for families visiting the parks, with prices starting from £55 per night.
Dockside Inn and Suites, the sister hotel to the Endless Summer resort, is due to open in 2020.
Dave Cole, Business Development Manager for Universal Parks said: “The new hotel will make any trip to Universal, Orlando more affordable. We want to encourage families who want a low price, but don’t want to compromise on quality.”
Universal’s Islands of Adventure is also adding a new Harry Potter themed attraction for 2019.
The “highly-themed coaster experience” will be an addition to the Hogsmeade section of the Harry Potter World and is thought to be themed around the Forbidden Forest, featuring characters and creatures from the book.
