by Steve Hartridge

airBaltic plans to resume direct flights from Riga, Latvia, to London on July 1 and from Tallinn, Estonia, to London on July 4.

The airline will also launch new direct flights from Vilnius, Lithuania, to London on July 1.

Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic, commented: “The safety and health of our passengers remains the highest priority. We have introduced strong safety measures and our new flight operations follow the recommendations issued by authorities.

"All passengers on board of airBaltic aircraft are provided with a complimentary basic care kit consisting of a protective face mask and disinfection wipes.”

airBaltic says it is "in close cooperation with the authorities to monitor the situation" and flight schedules will be adjusted if needed.

The airline advises passengers to check travel regulations, any airport restrictions and quarantine regulations before travelling.
