APT pre-launches bucket list trips
by Jessica Pook
APT has pre-released a selection of its 2022 ‘Bucket List Trips’ in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The specialist in luxury, essential and tailormade holidays has released the collection early to meet the demand from customers who are "actively planning bucket list trips for next year".
Enquiries for longer haul escorted tours are strong, the operator says, with over 70% of existing guests saying they are considering taking an overseas escorted tour.
“Guided travel is clearly a popular choice in a Covid-19 world because of the reassurance that this travel style offers,” said APT’s UK Managing Director, Paul Melinis.
“Having a professional tour director to oversee guest wellbeing, as well as knowing that the strictest standards of hygiene are being upheld throughout the trip, gives greater peace of mind when compared to travelling independently.”
Canada features prominently on the bucket list collection, with a 13-day Passage Through the Rockies, from Calgary to Victoria, priced from £3,345pp and a 20-day Rockies Explorer and Alaska Cruise, combining a two-day rail journey and seven-night cruise beginning and ending in Vancouver, priced from £6,995pp.
Further afield is APT Travelmarvel’s 15-day Treasures of Australia itinerary, from Sydney to Melbourne, priced at £3,945pp. Highlights include a tour of the Sydney Opera House, a water cruise in Sydney Harbour, viewing the sunrise over Uluru and snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef.
APT’s 20-day New Zealand Wonderland tour from Auckland to Christchurch will appeal to luxury-loving clients. The trip includes a catamaran cruise to Cape Brett and is priced from £4,695pp.
