Kuoni's adventure hub for armchair travellers

A new ‘adventure hub’, launched by Kuoni in partnership with Hodder & Stoughton publishing, hopes to ‘keeping the spirit of worldwide travel alive’ during this time when actual travel is off the agenda for most.
The initiative, in association with online training provide Travel Uni, are designed to be ‘fun and informal’.
Stories and adventures from the books of television presenters and explorers Simon Reeve, Levison Wood and Megan Hine are available to download for free, including chapters from their books, podcasts on soundcloud and short video clips.
Simon Reeve, who has made television programmes around the globe from Australia to the Indian Ocean, is a long-time ambassador for Kuoni. His recorded message reminds people to take time to remember the travels they’ve been on and encourages to ‘continuing to think adventurously’.
Reeve has shared some of the stories from his life in his book Step-by-Step and the adventure hub allows people to read or listen to some of the most memorable moments of his career.
Levison Wood, whose latest adventure Walking With Elephants sees him following elephants on their annual migration across Botswana, is currently showing on Channel 4 and detailed in his new book The Last Giants. For Kuoni he shares insight from his expeditions walking in the Himalayas, the Americas and Arabia.
Megan Hine offers acecdotes from her role as a consultant for private individuals and on television shows around the world including Bear Grylls: Mission Survive and Running Wild and her experience taking television crews to extreme and beautiful places they didn't even know existed.
Derek Jones, CEO for Kuoni, said: “We may not be able to travel right now, but we want to continue to inspire people to have adventures when it’s safe to travel again... we hope these (stories) will bring some adventure to our life in lockdown.”
