Prestige Holidays launches fly-drive breaks

by Jessica Pook

Prestige Holidays has introduced new fly-drive breaks in Sicily, Croatia and Scotland for 2021.

The self-drive packages are designed to offer travellers a combination of cultural experiences, countryside views and coastal sights.

Prestige’s new nine-night self-drive in Croatia takes advantage of the country’s easy to self-navigate roads and showcases the northern part of the country. The highlight is the UNESCO-protected Plitvice National Park, an area comprising 16 lakes and cascading waterfalls. Other stops include Porec and Pula, both rich in Roman history; the mountainous scenery and hilltop villages of Motovun and Zagreb, Croatia’s capital and cultural hotspot offering a wide choice of museums, restaurants and shopping.

The Croatia holiday starts from £989pp and includes return flights with British Airways to Zagreb from Heathrow, car hire  and nine nights at three different four-star hotels with breakfast.

A new eight-night fly-drive in Sicily takes in the island’s coastline, the baroque towns of Ragusa, Modica, Scicli and Noto plus some of the island’s ancient temples. The escape finishes with a relaxing three-night stay in the coastal resort of Taormina.

Sicily prices start from £1,199pp, including return British Airways flights from Gatwick to Catania, eight days' car hire and four star accommodation with breakfast.

Prestige Holidays’ new seven-night Scottish fly-drive starts with a night in Inverness and a whale and dolphin watching boat on the Moray Firth before a three-night stay at the Grant Arms Hotel in the Cairngorms, a base to enjoy the area’s castles, cycling and hiking routes and wildlife.

It continues with three nights at Fort William’s The Moorings Hotel on the Caledonian Canal, for the chance to climb Ben Nevis, spot Scotland’s big five (golden eagle, red deer, red squirrel, harbour seal and otter) or ride the Jacobite Steam Train, made famous in Harry Potter. There is also the option to drive the iconic Road to the Isles between Fort William and Mallaig and visit Loch Ness.

The Scotland trip is from £949pp including return flights from Heathrow to Inverness with British Airways, car hire and a mix of B&B and half-board stays.
